My Mission to Change a Million Children's Lives Through Leadership4Kids
My friends, I am on a mission.
I am going to
change a million children’s lives through Leadership4Kids, a company I started
two years ago to help kids (age 8–12) become better leaders through mind-body
education improving self-confidence, movement patterns, and presence.
Our children
are our future. As parents, we all want the best for our kids — ever since they
are born, how to feed them right, how to get them to sleep, how to potty-train
them, etc.
Then as they
grow out of the toddler stage, we want to them to do well in school - math,
reading, music, art, and of course, sports. The list seems endless.
School and
society does a good job teaching all these and we believe these classes and
activities will somehow help them in life. Yes, we want our children to be
intelligent, social, athletic and artistic but we want something much more.
We want them
to be grateful, we want them to have courage, we want them to have a sense of
purpose, a sense of dignity, a sense of joy, and achieve something bigger than
themselves. In other words, we want them to be “leaders”. So how do we teach
leadership?
One of the
core principles of Leadership4Kids framework is that “all mastery is
self-mastery — the foundation of leadership is self-awareness.” To teach that,
one of the tools I use to help kids develop self-awareness is through a daily
journal.
After seeing
countless examples of how a simple daily journal can help kids gain skills such
as self-awareness, confidence and gratitude. I was inspired and felt compelled
to get it published (thank you Absolute Author Publishing House), so more kids
can benefit from this daily practice.
Today, I am

And the
journal is just the start. I’m going to change a million lives through the

This is a lot
of work, I know. But this is meaningful work to me. I truly believe that
children are gifts from God and nothing makes me happier to work with kids and
seeing them grow and develop, to help kids preserve their original wisdom
through the games/role plays/embodied practices.
So today, I am
excited to share my mission with you all, because I’m deeply grateful for your
support over the years (I start to see how all the dots are connected now
looking backwards), and just know that I’m committed to making this happen.
